Community Lantern Making
At these free workshops, participants will make a simplified paper lantern in the Nebuta style of Japanese lantern floats!
Participants will also have the opportunity to parade their lanterns InLight!

DIY Lanterns
Click the following links for easy, step-by-step instructions:
HOW TO MAKE A GLOBE LANTERN
1. Start with 10 strips of paper.
2. Punch a hole at both ends of all strips (not too close to the end).
3. Stack your strips and insert paper fastener through one end and fasten.
4. On the other end, insert fastener through hole and cup then fasten.
5. Spread out strips to form globe.
6. Tie string to fastener on the top for a handle.
7. Place battery votive candle in cup.
